BAYER: TWO NEW INSECTICIDAL SOLUTIONS FOR OLIVE FLY PROTECTION
Sivanto® Prime and Decis® Trap Olivo: these are the new insecticidal solutions of Bayer dedicated to the defense in olive growing.
Sivanto® Prime is an innovative solution that allows the introduction of a new chemical family in the field of olive fly control. In addition to ensuring immediate and lasting protection of the harvest, it allows better control of populations resistant to other agropharmaceuticals, respecting the useful insects present in the olive grove.
Sivanto Prime is characterized by the complete absence of odor and excellent miscibility (compatible with fungicides and foliar fertilisers) and applies to the exceeding of the intervention threshold (defined as percentage of active infestation, that is, eggs and larval stages within the 2nd age) following the indications coming from the punctual samples and/or the weekly bulletins issued by the various agencies operating in the territory.

Decis® trap Olivo,however, it is also an acceptable solution in organic farming. It is a ready-to-use trap that allows the capture of the adults of Bactrocera oleae present in the olive grove (Attract and Kill method) and can be used for both mass capture and monitoring of fly flights.
Decis' Trap Olivo consists of a sphere designed to ensure: a large catch period (180gg), practical application (ready to hang), safety for the operator and, thanks to the triple attractive mechanism (chromtropic, food and pheromone), maximum effectiveness in the capture of adults of Bactrocera.
